Kidron Bethel Village offers services, programs to promote wellness, and a variety of enrichment opportunities for senior living.
Bethel College Activity Pass: These passes are purchased with resident service fees and may be used for admission to the Life Enrichment program for seniors, sporting events, and dramas and musicals at the college. Kidron Inc. residents are invited to attend any of these events and pay admission charges. The Kidron Bethel Village bus provides transportation to Life Enrichment.
Newsletters: Print and digital newsletters are available. The Village Voice newsletter and calendar are published monthly to provide information about the social, spiritual, educational, and recreational opportunities available. In the Loop, a digital newsletter for independent living, is e-mailed each Saturday morning to those who request it.
Social Opportunities: Birthday parties, concerts, popcorn and pop, movies, socials, holiday celebrations, coffee clubs, games groups, painting class, and other programs and entertainment offer opportunities for fun and fellowship. Bus trips to places of interest and restaurants in the area are popular excursions. Residents also volunteer in the Newton public school system, at Kauffman Museum, the Et Cetera Shop, and other area venues.
Spiritual Enrichment: Bible studies, prayer meetings, worship services, and special programs offer opportunities for spiritual growth and Christian fellowship. The chaplain is available for individual counsel and visitation.
Village University: Educational programming - such as guest lecturers or film series - are offered. Past topics include the Kansas prairie, British royalty, art history, history of hymns, lost civilizations, inventions, travel destinations, and mission trips.

Administration: Administrative offices and the reception desk are centrally located for your convenience. Our friendly receptionist will assist you between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays.
Arts and Crafts Room: This room may be reserved for working on crafts projects.
Assurance Living Services: Marilyn King, director of independent living sales and housing, offers information and assistance in finding and obtaining services to help residents remain independent for as long as possible. Kidron Bethel Village offers housekeeping and laundry services for an hourly charge.
Community Room: With seating for approximately 50 people, this room includes a piano and may be reserved for parties, meetings, and celebrations involving residents and their families.
Hair Salon: The hair salon, located in the Assisted Living area, is available to all residents and is open Tuesday through Friday by appointment.
Harvest Table: For independent living residents and their guests, a delicious buffet is served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. each day in the dining room. Dining is by reservation or a discounted meal plan may be purchased. Breakfast and evening meals also are offered. Coffee is available anytime. A sound system and large flatscreen television enable residents to view programs and services taking place in the Menno Hall chapel.
Library: A variety of books are available for reading on the "honor system." Residents also may check out large-prin books the first Thursday of the month in the Community Room as part of the Newton Public Library's Enlite program.
Menno Hall: Menno Hall chapel is available for worship, programs, and meetings and is equipped with a sound system, flatscreen television, piano, and an organ.
Midland National Bank Branch: Midland's convenient branch is open each weekday from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.
Transportation: Our bus makes twice-weekly trips to north Dillon's grocery store, to the Bethel College Life Enrichment programs on Wednesdays during the school year, and to Sunday services at Bethel College Mennonite, Faith Mennonite, First Mennonite, and Shalom Mennonite churches. There is no charge for these trips and donations are appreciated. A small fee is charged for planned trips to restaurants or places of interest.
The On-Time Cab is available for local transportation, and the charge is discounted for seniors.
Harvey County Interurban offers transportation for a fee to local medical appointments for those with mobility impairment. The Interurban is available, for a fee, to everyone for out-of-town medical appointments or to Wichita Dwight D Eisenhower National Airport.
Havey County Retired Senior Volunteer Program also can arrange for a volunteer to use his or her vehicle to transport a senior who has no other transportation available.
Wellness Center: Centrally located in the Village Center, the North Newton Wellness Center features an exercise pool, hot tub, exercise equipment, exercise room, and dressing rooms with showers. Residents, with their physician's permission, may use the Wellness Center at no charge. Adult members of the public may participate for a fee. For more information, see the Wellness Center page.
