Your Loved Ones Can Depend On Us

Bethel Health Care Centre’s record of exemplary care is indicative of Kidron Bethel’s commitment to provide the highest quality care and personalized services, a heritage of more than 80 years of Christian service that began with Bethel Home for Aged, the first retirement home in Harvey County. Skilled nursing care, adult day care and respite care are offered.

Bethel Health Care Centre is licensed by the Kansas Department on Aging. Memberships include the Kansas Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (KAHSA) and the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA). Admissions and services are provided without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, religion, sex, ancestry, disability, and familial status.

Compassion & Care

Our dedicated staff provides compassionate care and the comfort of kind words. A person-centered model of care promotes resident independence and sense of control. The primary objectives are to return the focus of control to residents, enhance frontline staff’s capacity to be responsive, and to establish a homelike atmosphere.

Bethel Health Care Centre received a PEAK (Promoting Excellent Alternatives in Kansas) award (read story here) in May 2007, at the Governor’s Council on Aging in Topeka. Bethel Health Care was one of nine Kansas care homes to receive a PEAK award that year, recognizing efforts to transition from the traditional institutional model of care to a more person-centered model.

Community & Belonging

Bethel Health Care has created the warm and friendly atmosphere of home in each of our three neighborhoods – Nature Trail, Whispering Meadow and Sunny Brook. Residents and staff connect on a personal level, establishing strong bonds of trust and genuine affection, fostered by the continuity of care. Visitors and families are always welcome.

Privacy & Independence

Private rooms and a neighborhood environment encourage a lifestyle of choice and promote self-sufficiency. Each person is respected and encouraged to express personal preferences, such as individualized schedules, favorite foods and activities, to make life enjoyable and as much like home as possible.

Made-to-order breakfasts are prepared and served in each neighborhood from 7:00 to 9:00 each morning. Residents are invited to join in a variety of planned and spontaneous activities and events, including Recipe Club and the “Music Together” intergenerational program.

Mind, Body, & Spirit

Our goal is to nurture the mind, body and spirit. Personal care, exercise and therapies help residents maintain or improve physical health. Opportunities for social and spiritual enrichment enhance the lives of residents and promote lifelong learning, interaction, and spiritual growth. A variety of activities and programs brings residents together to enjoy fellowship and fun. Residents find inspiration and comfort in prayer and worship services and encouragement and support from visits with the chaplain. For residents with memory impairment, the Lounge Program provides meaningful and enjoyable opportunities for interaction.
